Celebrating African Culture and Heritage

What We Do

We imagine and work towards an Africa where culture is preserved, voices are respected, and communities are empowered through knowledge, media, and creative expression. Our aim is to become a trusted African media platform that links heritage with innovation, strengthens cultural identity, and positions African narratives at the centre of global conversations.

Redemption Broadcast Network is a dynamic African media platform dedicated to celebrating African culture, heritage, music, news, and authentic community stories. We explore the heart of Africa by connecting African history with contemporary realities, amplifying African voices, and showcasing how African cultural identity continues to shape and inspire communities across Africa and the African diaspora.

Through our YouTube channel, blog, and online radio shows, we share powerful stories from Africa’s past, present, and future. We focus on the Upper Guinea coast and the Mano River Union subregions as examples and a case study of the Continent. We conduct research and in-depth analysis of Sierra Leone’s chieftaincy traditions and the wisdom of the West African griot, tracing their influence on cultural resources such as Afrobeat, African protest music, and modern African identity on the continent’s social psychology.

We highlight the people, cultural knowledge base, ideas, resources and movements driving social and cultural change. Our platform features African documentaries, live radio discussions, interviews with community leaders, curated playlists, and grassroots stories that reflect everyday African life.

Our Mission

Redemption Broadcast Network is committed to preserving African cultural heritage, amplifying authentic community voices, and promoting inclusive access to culture through media, storytelling, music, and civic dialogue. By documenting history, supporting creative expression, and encouraging public participation, the platform strengthens cultural identity, social cohesion, and informed citizenship across Africa and the African diaspora.

Advocacy & Sensitisation

In the Upper Guinea Coast and the Mano River Union countries—Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, and Côte d'Ivoire—social justice challenges are deeply rooted in historical, political, and socio-economic contexts. Issues such as gender inequality, human rights abuses, political marginalization, and social exclusion persist, impacting the lives of vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Youth Empowerment

The youth population in West Africa, particularly within the Mano River Union countries, is growing rapidly, but so are the challenges of unemployment, poverty, political disempowerment, and lack of quality education. We believe that empowered youth are the driving force behind sustainable development and social change.

Educational Programming

Education is the cornerstone of social and economic development, but access to quality education remains a challenge in many parts of West Africa. At RbnLive News and Radio, we are committed to bridging this gap by delivering accessible, relevant, and impactful educational content.
